Bio

Tony Babb-Lead Vocals/Guitar

Originally from Arizona, Tony has called Denison home since 1990. He started as a rhythm guitarist behind Shawn Fussel before moving on to start his own band Dog Day. With Tony on guitar and lead vocals, Dog Day became a success in the early 2000s. Now at the helm in Barrel Proof, Tony is bringing his influence of Country, Rockabilly, and good ole' classic Rock to the stage.

Adam Henderson-Lead Guitar/Vocals

Adam was born in Denison, Tx and was raised in a small town in Arkansas. He started playing guitar at an early age and was heavily influenced by all the great guitarists from the 70's and 80's. Adam has played lead guitar for several artists, most recently The Casey Daniels Band. He co-founded the band Stranger Fellowes back in 2018 and left in 2022 to start a new project, Barrel Proof.

James Kinsey-Drums/Vocals

A Sherman native, James found a love for drums by listening to all the great rock and metal drummers of the 70's and 80's including the late legendary Neil Peart. He found a love for performing through his first cover band, Fast Nasty. James continued to perform even during his military service with various military cover bands. After his enlistment ended, he returned to North Texas and played with several local bands including Rage, Shovelhead, and now Barrel Proof.

Rob Tate-Bass Guitar

Rob is a Sherman native whose interest in music started at an early age. Inspired by classic metal bands such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Pantera just to name a few, Rob set out to hone his skills and perfect his craft as a musician. Rob has performed with various cover bands such as Shovelhead, but also original artists like Outlaw Devils. Now, Rob is bringing his technical abilities and hard rocking edge to the stage with Barrel Proof.
